I’m re-watching bits and pieces of the VMAs and this caught my attention. You can pretty much replace rock and roll with hip-hop, and it’ll still have the same truth to it. I don’t know why people go around saying “HIP-HOP IS DEAD.” Nah, you’re just not looking in the right places… and the radio is definitely not the best source. There are plenty of artists who aren’t in the mainstream spotlight who are keeping it alive.
